Melody World Wax Museum, Mysore: An Overview
Established in 2010 by a Bangalore-based IT professional named Shreeji Bhaskaran, Melody World Wax Museum is one of the few music-themed museums in the country.
The privately owned museum has a growing collection of over 1500 musical instruments from various regions of India. The collection here is reputedly the largest in Karnataka.
In addition, it displays 100 plus life-size figures made of wax, predominantly musicians in native and period-appropriate attires.
These wax figures are placed in various music-related scenes and settings and depicted as playing musical instruments.
Melody World is housed within a heritage building over 90 years old. The museum complex has other attractions, including Horror World, Mirror Maze, Vortex Tunnel, and others.

Melody Mysore Wax Museum: List of Exhibits
The exhibits include a growing collection of over 1500 musical instruments in 19 galleries, most of which are displayed with wax replicas of musicians playing them.
Each gallery is devoted to a particular music genre or theme, such as classical music, rock, jazz music, Carnatic, Middle Eastern music, Punjabi Bhangra, and the like.
While most statues are wax replicas of musicians, the place also has wax figures of famous personalities like Gandhiji and Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV.
