BBMP Trade License In Bangalore – Register, Renew And Check Status

Business entities that fall under Schedule X of the Karnataka Municipal Corporation Act are to obtain a trade license in Bangalore. Businesses that come under Schedule X include:

1. Hotels and Restaurants
2. Food and Food processing
3. Boarding and lodging
4. Nursing homes and hospitals, diagnostic centers
5. Marriage halls and convention centers
6. Barbershops, Beauty Parlors, etc.
7. Dry cleaning and laundry
8. Chemicals and Pesticides
9. Water Tankers

Construction work such as brick molding, granite etc.,  

Follow the below steps to apply for a new BBMP trade license.

Step 1: Visit the BBMP website
Step 2: Click on Online Trade License New Registration (For Public) under New License
Step 3: The below page will open. You need to agree to terms and click on continue

Step 4: A window with the application form will open. Fill in all the mandatory details and click Next.

Step 5: You will be taken to a page as shown in the below image. Upload owner lease document and electricity bill.  Once you upload the necessary documents, the license fee will be displayed on the screen.

Now click on OTP which will be sent to your phone number. Enter the OTP and Submit.

Step 6: Now cross-check the details and make payment. Once you successfully make the payment, your BBMP trade license number will be displayed on the screen.

To do BBMP trade license renewal, you need to visit the BBMP website. Click on Online Trade License Renewal (For Citizens) under Trade License and follow the below steps:
Step 1: Agree to trade lice terms and click continue

Step 2: Choose a financial year and search for your existing trade license using:
1. Application Number(New or Renewal Application Number)
2. Zone-Ward-Trade details      
3. New License Number

Step 3: Once you search the following screen will appear

Step 3: Click on the application number and the following screen will appear.

Step 4:  Confirm the information is correct and your current application number will be generated. Now you can proceed to payment.

If you are choosing online payment, upon successful payment, you will be redirected to the Successful Transaction page. You can print or download the receipt by clicking the Print Acknowledgment Button.

You can also choose to pay at MOH office or bank. In that case, save your application number.

To know your application status, visit this page and enter your application number. Click on Get Status.

The information will be displayed on the screen as shown in the below image.

To download the BBMP trade license in Bangalore, visit this page, enter your application number, choose trade type and click download.

The documents required for trade license application Bangalore are:

1. Application Form
2. PAN card and incorporation certificate for LLPs and firms
3. Aadhaar Card for individual applicants
4. Latest BBMP property tax payment receipt
5. Rental agreement or consent form from property owners
6. NOC from your neighbor
7. Trade building’s certified layout plan that shows working, resting or washing areas
8. Katha certificate and extracts
9. Occupancy certificate (OC)
10. Sanction plan
