The state government has declared 38 public holidays for the year, and some of these holidays fall on Sundays. The Assam holidays list 2023 applies to offices, schools, colleges, and other establishments under the state/central government.

Some of the major festivals in the Assamese holiday list 2023 include:

  • Magh Bihu – 15th and 16th January 2023
  • Bohag Bihu – 14th, 15th, and 16th April 2023
  • Kati Bihu – 18th October 2023
